Happy Tuesday

I hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday! So far, so good on my end of the world. I received a couple e-mails yesterday from friends that I have not seen or talked with in quite some time (other than e-mails) and I was so glad to hear from them. In one on my replies, I wrote that I thought about them all the time (which I do) however, I let the busy routine of everyday life get in the way of taking a moment to sit down, pick up the phone and hear a live voice at the other end of the line. I think sometimes we are all guilty of that....what do you think? I am thankful for e-mail or I would have very little contact with anyone. E-mail has been a saving grace for me sometimes. However, life is too short and we should make every moment count! Several years ago a friend of mine called me and we talked for a while. I was so glad to hear from him but also found out what poor health he was in.....for several weeks after that call I would think about him and knew I needed to call and check and see how he was doing. I never got the chance, because he died, 3 weeks after talked on the phone. That really did something to me and I promised myself that from now on when I get someone on my mind and feel the urge to call and check in, that I am going to do it then because I might not get that opportunity later! I have done much better over these past few years, but I need to do even more. Life is too short and true friends are far and few between. Count your blessings, appreciate life and take time out to enjoy even the simplest of things......I need to take my own advice! I plan to do just that! So, get ready everyone, your phone may be ringing really soon!~~Until Later
