"Hump Day"

Wednesday is here and that means the weekend is closer! I don't mean to wish my life away but I can't wait for the weekend. We leave on Sun. for the beach! YES, that means NO BLOGS for a few days! I could take the lap-top with me, but I think I need a vacation from that as well! LOL! We took Cade to a Pediatric ENT Doctor. He was wonderful and I loved his "bedside manner"! He took one look at Cade's tonsils and said "Those things need to come out!" So, guess what?? We have surgery scheduled for August 8! It's after our vacation and before school starts back! I am glad to have that arranged because I don't want him to miss a week of school! He'll miss Kids Camp for a week, but thats ok! He has had a time over the years with those tonsils! I know it is pretty routine surgery, but I am still a little nervous about things! First of all, it's my "baby" and the fact that he will have to be put to sleep! He doesn't seem to be all that concerned, especially after we told him that he would be able to eat tons of ice cream and popsicles! Heck, sounds good to me too! I had my tonsils taken out when I was about 3 - I know, that was a LONG time ago! I am sure I got to eat tons of ice cream too....but I may have to share in that joy with Cade! LOL! We had some bad storms yesterday evening, but that did NOT deter me from hitting Wal-Mart after the doctors office! I had to get some necessities and of course, "just look around"! Dinner was at Cracker Barrel! I love that place! It poured rain and we had to stay there for a little while. I didn't mind because I shopped in the little store and Cade hung out in the toy section! Eddie kept watching for the rain to slack up and the first chance he got, he took off to get the car so he could get us out of there before we started spending money! LOL! Guess I need to start signing off. I need to check in with Jeff's blog and Kim's blog and see what they have been up too! Jeff was having a Pampered Chef party and he was looking forward to the meal they would have.....hope it was yummy Jeff! I hope everyone has a great "rest of the week"! Remember to take some time just for yourself....even it is only a few minutes! It is good medicine!~Until Later
