It's Hot Out There!

Am I the only one who feels as if they are "melting" everytime you walk outside...didn't think so! WOW, it is about 98 degrees out there and I am THANKFUL to be sitting here in the air conditioned office! Lets pray the power doesn't go out! I have posted some pictures in my gallery from our vacation! Oh, how I wish I was still there! The heat doesn't bother you so much when you have a constant breeze! (and a good book in hand) I haven't even been back a week and I am already ready for another vacation! On my first day back at the office, a client called me a liar (no, I did not lie, they FORGOT), I was yelled at and hung up on by another (can't say that I blame her, the State will be buying her house to put a road through it and she has to move)! I try so hard to make these people understand that I didn't make the decisions, I just have to be the person to deliver the news! Anyway, Cade will have his tonsils out on Friday and I have been doing all the pre-op stuff and getting his meds filled at the pharmacy. We have had football practice each evening (thank GOD it has been later and a little cooler) and Cade expects me to come and sit on the sidelines to watch! I really need to be at home because I don't think I have a single room in my house that is clean right now! However, he wants me there and I want to be there for him....he may not always want me around when he gets older) Plus, Paula, Becky and I enjoy our little "hen parties"! We get alot of things discussed in that 1 1/2 hour! ;-D
So, as you see, my first week back has been pretty hectic! Oh and let me add to it that I go by my Grandmother's house everyday and get her mail and either take it to her at the nursing home or drop it off by my Mom's house on the days I can't get there. To be honest, I really wouldn't know how to act or what to do with myself if I had FREE TIME!! I have to look that word up in the dictionary to see what it REALLY means because I don't experience it much! LOL! I did get to talk with my dearest friend Beth yesterday....even if it was to share bad news about a death, we haven't talked in a while except via e-mail and it was so good to hear her voice! (love ya and miss ya "Boofy") I judged a pageant this past weekend down towards Pinehurst/Southern Pines area (Moore County) I really enjoy doing that and judges are always treated like royalty! I was able to ride around in a limosine - driver and all!! I didn't have to open the first car door until I got in my car to come home! LOL! My sweet buddy Jeff was suppose to come judge and I was sooooo looking forward to hanging out with him (visit his blog, I have a link to it posted over there), however, he works for Biltmore House in Asheville and could not get off work! MISSED YOU JEFF!! Oh and yes, he treated me and my family to a wonderful trip to Biltmore last summer. If you have never been, you should go! It is remarkable! On another note, my Grandmother is doing better. Physically, she is healing like the doctors want her too however, mentally, she can be stubborn as a mule and at times Mother and I want to "rattle her cage" --- I AM JUST JOKING!!!! She is 87 years old and VERY set in her ways! Just keep us in your prayers! Well, enough of my whining! I promise the next blog will be more uplifting! Oh and to those of you who have called, e-mailed, sent cards in regards to my Grandmother and Cade's upcoming surgery....THANK YOU! I am so blessed to have TRUE friends that REALLY CARE!!! ~~Until Later (DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE PICTURES)
