Bonfire
Cade has been asking for weeks (months probably) to have some friends over and build a bonfire. Of course, marshmellows are a must at any bonfire. Well, tonight (Sat.) we had some friends over, kids played, we ordered pizza for dinner, shared laughs, listened to the kids play, argue, play more and finally it was time for bonfire. The marshmellows were a hit for a short while and then there was a contest of who could set a leaf on fire and have the biggest flame. Ok, so I am going to HAVE to worry about my kid starting at such an early age.....is he afraid of anything??? NO....hands right near the flame....Mom having a coronary! LOL! At one time I stood back and listened to all the talk and noticed the looks on everyone's face. Not a problem in the world could have taken that moment! What a good evening. A simple, laid back evening. There wasn't a lot of money involved (well, pizza doesn't come cheap these days, but that doesn't count)....we all were dressed casual and were able to just be ourselves. The simplest of times can be the best! The kids laughter....me calling out to them saying "is everyone happy"....and hearing them all call out "YES"! You couldn't help but smile. I have put pictures on the slideshow below. Take a look at our great evening! I'm blessed to have such great friends....and yes, Greg and Chad, next time we make plans we will make sure of what your work schedules look like so you can be there too! Until Later!
