Saturday

It's late Saturday night, but I just felt like writing. It has been a good day and I hope all of you reading can say the same. Most of you know that I work with the pageant system. Our queens made an appearance at Stanly Manor Nursing Home. That is where my Grandmother lives. Those girls were such a blessing and as I looked around me at the residents faces, there were plenty of smiles. My Grandmother got special treatment from the girls. She enjoyed her moment of popularity.....so did I! Seeing her happy and smiling, warms my heart. Cade sat at a table with MeeMee playing his Nintendo. He had a moment of bashfulness when he and Miss Stanly County had their picture made together. He loves having all the pretty girls around. He'll really love it as he gets older - right?? ha ha!! Afterwards, we visited with my Grandmother and then had a nice lunch with MeeMee and of course, we HAD to make a Wal-Mart run! Eddie and I went to his ERT team Christmas dinner party tonight. We had a nice evening out, but my tummy is about to pop! When Phillip Morris foots the bill, we all take advantage of the moment.....and everything on the menu that we can stuff in our mouths! One of Eddie's co-workers had his girlfriend with him and she was a little petite thing.....she outdid me on pigging out....but yummmmm, everything was WONDERFUL! We didn't have a late night because Eddie had to go into work....and since my tummy is so full, the bed is calling my name rather loudly! However, before I could call it an evening, I felt the urge to write and just say that even the simplest of days can be the best of days. I am so thankful to God for blessing me with a wonderful, beautiful and peaceful day! Here's to tomorrow!! Until later
