Sitting Here Thinking

I guess that could be dangerous! (*chuckle*)! I had the most amazing birthday! On my facebook page I ended up with 93 birthday wishes! It's not so bad to turn another year older! My photography business is up and running and that has lifted my spirits! I will have my first official photoshoot next week with a family! I cannot wait! I have already done a few small jobs for people, but this will be my first family portrait and "daily life" of a family! God is good and he is opening doors to things that I truly love to do! I was talking to Becky earlier and told her that I was sitting here at the office working on everything else but NCDOT stuff....now, I promise to get busy and do some official work later! It makes such a difference to do things you really want to be doing! I know you all get tired of hearing me gripe about this job....but truth is that other than the non-Christian atmosphere and throat cutting and backstabbing, I just don't want to do this work anylonger! There comes a time in your life when you really do KNOW what you want and don't want to do! This job is dangerous now...more so than it has ever been before and I guess God laid it on my heart that there are more important things out there! Now, I just have to practice patience and move along at God's timing on the things he has planned for my life. My spirits are boosted...much better than what they were! Eddie says I am much nicer at home! (*chuckle*)! I am going to start getting the front room of my Grandmother's house re-done into a photography studio....I am so excited about that! Things are coming left and right into my life that are making me happy and for the first time in a long time I AM EXCITED ABOUT THE THINGS TO COME!! Remember when you were a little child and you knew vacation was coming and you could hardly sleep the night before because you were so excited. Well, it's been such a long time since I have felt that excitement....and now it is drifting back into my heart and I am so thankful!
