I am loving these cooler temperatures! It seems after I take that last little vacation get away in August that upon my return I expect to snap my fingers and Fall temperatures be here! It's relaxing for some reason. This past weekend, I sat on my screen porch with coffee cup in hand just soaking up the cooler temps in the early morning hours. It was nice to experience that total relaxation for the moment! I savor those moments because they come far and few between. Labor Day weekend did not turn out quite as I planned. Cade was sick for the most part, but is now much better. Back to work on Tuesday and trying hard to have positive thoughts! (*chuckle*)...not always easy, but I am trying! I often hear people talking about how they just love their job....I wonder what that would be like? I still ask myself "what do I want to be when I grow up?" (*another chuckle*) I'm not going to spend time today writing about my job....I do that too often and I just don't want to burden any of us with that issue today. I'm here to make my 8 to 5 and then go home to my "real life".

Have you ever been to a spa where you are totally petted and pampered? I have but it has been several years ago now...I think I am passed due to go again! I have had it on my mind alot lately and I am thinking it is about time to get the girls together for a little "road trip"! Then again, several of us have talked about going to Wilmington....the coast is nice. The spa that I am thinking about and have visited is in Blowing Rock, NC. The main building is an old southern colonial mansion that sits on top on a mountain with a porch that wraps around the house. Rocking chairs adorn the porch and a view that is priceless can be had for free from each chair! History whispers as you walk through the doors and stand there and in awe at the large rooms, antique furniture, fireplaces in every room. The mansion is where you stay and I have had the opportunity to stay there one time. My sister-in-law and I were the only two that stayed in the mansion on this particular visit (you can do day visits as well)....and that night as the employees left, we found a huge tray of fruits and veggies on a table in the reading room. No televisions anywhere....huge fireplace burning, bookshelves adorning the walls holding unlimited amounts of wonderful adventures to read. We decided to be like children and let our curiosity take us on an adventure through out the house. We toured every room we could get into....and I stood in awe at the beauty of this old house. You could almost visualize the ladies in their gowns gracefully walking down the staircase. So much history here! The old saying "if these walls could talk"....oh I just wonder what wonderful stories they could share. What fun we had that night on our own little adventure through out the house. The next day we had breakfast on the sun porch and then a stroll through the butterfly garden to the building where we would be petted and pampered for the rest of the day! So, now that I sit here and think about WestGlow (thats the name of the spa), I am ready to return. It is a great place for "the girls" to get away for a little "R & R".....so ladies, who might be interested? Ready for a road trip? Ready to take a little adventure where part of you can step back into time? I find myself relaxing just thinking about the place. That is a sure sign that I must go soon!! (*wink*)~~ Until Later
