I am sitting here watching the clock! Just waiting for 5:00 to get here so the weekend can officialy start! Do I have plans you ask? NO, not one thing and I am glad! With all that has been going on lately, it will be a nice reprieve to have NOTHING to do! LOL! Cade does have football practice at 8:00, but I think I'll just let Eddie take care of that one! Sometimes it is nice to let someone else "take care of things"! The weight of the world can come crashing down really hard sometimes. I thank God for giving me a good attitude about it though! Plus dear friends who have kept me inspired (spirits boosted)! Cade gave me a little scare yesterday - heck, it wasn't a little scare, he scared me half to death! He has been staying at my Mom's this week and he started having chest pains yesterday. Said it felt like someone was putting pressure on his chest. We made an emergency trip to the doctors office (have I mentioned that THURSDAYS are not good days for me?) Well, it just so happened that his esophagus (spelling is terrible) was having spasms. I was glad to hear it was not his heart, but still didn't like him suffering from that also! Doctor told us to watch the caffein intake for the rest of the day and to make sure he had a full stomach before any meds. Well, for those of you with children who have had tonsils removed (or yourself) you just don't eat like you normally do...so, we're doing our best! Anyway, he is better today - so are my nerves!
I received an e-mail from Kim today. She talked about going out on the beach (she is living at Holden Beach this summer) and taking the time to listen and enjoy the sounds of things around her. The ocean waves, the seagulls and children's laughter! She and I both agree that when you take a moment to just "enjoy" the "little things" around you, it can make the biggest difference in your life. Even with things being so hectic for my family lately, I am trying to take those moments as often as I can. It truly is working on my stress level. Eddie was massaging my shoulders the other evening (he CAN be sweet sometimes - ha) and he even stated that I was not as tense as I normally was! "Little Things" make the "Biggest Difference"! So, here's your homework for the weekend. At least ONCE over the weekend, take a moment (just a moment) out of your normal routine. Step outside, enjoy the sunshine (or hopefully some rain) HEAR the birds singing, HEAR childrens laughter, ENJOY a breeze on your face - smile when you feel it! No, I'm not crazy or trying to get all "soupy"! Just do this for me -- for yourself! THEN I want you to come on here and send me a comment (or e-mail me) and tell me if it didn't make a difference in someway in your day!! Smile, be blessed and always remember that there is always some good that will come out of rough times!~Until Later
