Reflections

The sun is shining and it seems to make people feel so much better inside! I know, I feel pretty good today! I received an email devotional earlier today and as I was reading it, it really hit home with me.........I tend to put so much time and effort into getting candy and plastic eggs and Easter Bunny gifts that I have not concentrated like I should on the true meaning of Easter. Now, folks, that bothered me to realize that I was neglecting myself and my child by not putting enough emphasis on why we celebrate Easter. Oh, now, grant it, we have in the past, but this year I have gotten too wrapped up in the "other stuff"..........so as I read that devotion, I thanked God for giving us Jesus, who died on that cross for our sins! I also thank Him for the fact that Jesus did not remain in that tomb and he arose! I also stopped and thought about what my life would be like if I didn't have my faith? Ummm, it's scarey, especially in todays society to try to even fathom where I might be without Christ. "For Christ so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life!"....words to live by!

So, as we go into this weekend, please enjoy every aspect of the time but the most important part is that Jesus died on that cross for our sins, was buried and on the third day he arose....the stone was rolled away.......Thank you God for your most precious gift! Thank you God for all the blessings you have placed in my life! Please take the time to simply say THANK YOU! For you are a blessing to Him and He wants only the best for His children!
