It's Friday afternoon and as I sit here at my trusty computer I can hardly wait for 5:00 to get here so I can high tail it out of here and get my weekend started! However, MY weekend is truly all about CADE so maybe I should say "get CADE'S weekend started"! What is it with having kids and your life seems to exist no more....LOL?!?! When you hear the old saying "it's all about the children" IT TRULY IS!!! I can't complain though, I'm lovin' it! Cade will have his first football game this Saturday....his first year playing tackle. He is soooo excited. Me, well, I'm worried....no, not for Cade, I'm worried for the young'un he'll be up against on the line. I'm gonna tell ya, Cade is like a Mac Truck! He will plow 'em down! I saw a t-shirt at Dick's Sporting Good the other day and I should have bought (still might go buy it) and it said "Football Mom" I Feed 'Um So He Can Beat 'Um!" LOL!! Of course I keep reminding him that he WILL meet some rough and tough boys too and I just hope he can show good sportsmanship IF someone takes him down! :-O He told me the other day that Football was his "LIFE" - now tell me, just how much about LIFE does a 7 year old know about....ummm, maybe more than we give them credit for! He also said that if he becomes a professional football player that he will buy me a BIG house! I just LOVE that kid! ;-D
Lets see, "MY" weekend that is really "CADE'S" weekend will consist of football practice tonight beginning at 6:00. Now, let me tell ya, I enjoy the practice time because me and several other Mom's have our little "hen" party! We discuss everything and everyone! LOL!!! Tomorrow we travel to Central Cabarrus High School for weigh in's at 9:00 AM and a game at 10:30. It's some type of Jamboree thing....you Mom's that have more sports experience than me will probably know all about this stuff....I'm learning! I did get tickled when they talked about the weigh in thing.....some boys will strip down to their underwear to try to make a certain weight....and you have to be 80 pounds and under (I think thats right) to be able to carry the ball....well, HELLO, Cade does not need to get on the scales because I can tell them already he won't be carrying the ball....for those of you that know Cade.....didn't you know FROM BIRTH that HE would be ON THE LINE!!! 95 lbs and 4.5 ft. tall! Oh well, they may look at him and say "Son, step on past the scale" -- common sense would tell them that - LOL! Keep your fingers crossed that we have a good season and that there are NO injuries....pray for the ""little sports cars"" that will be lined up with the ""Mac Truck""!!
So, here's wishing you all a great weekend -- whether it truly is a weekend for you or for the weekend that you live for your kid(s)! Make it a good one! ~~Until Later
