How Do You Spend Your Time

How you spend your time reveals your true values and priorities.

Do you spend quality time with your children? Karl Marx said that to conquer a nation you just have to block the transfer of values, morals and beliefs between generations. Solomon said, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him” (Pr 20:7). Before you know it they’ll be gone, but what legacy will they take with them? Your kids are like mirrors, they reflect what they see. And it’s hard for them to see God as their heavenly Father unless He’s clearly visible in their earthly one. So: “Take them by the hand…lead them in the way of the Master” (Eph 6:4). “Tell the next generation…of…his power, and the wonders he has done.” If you don’t – who will?

This was a devotion that I received today and I thought I would post it in my blog! Wow, how true! I have often thought about the quality time that I spend with my child....with my family! I want every moment to count!! I don't want to look back one day and feel that I missed out on anything! Life is too precious! As a parent, I want to be there at every moment possible for my son! I want him to know and have the comfort knowing that he will never be alone! I have always tried to assure him that even in death, I would always be with him in his heart! I have a parent that walked out on me and even though it has hurt me in the worse way, I had no clue how heartless an individual would have to be to walk out on their child.......I could never and would never do that to my child! I just can't imagine not seeing those big blue eyes or that sweet smile...or even having the moments when I am fussing at him to hurry and get ready so we can get to school! That is all apart of our life and our time together! I do not want to miss one moment of any of that time!

So, as the above devotion states........how do you spend your time? Do you make it worth your while? Do you make it worth other's?? Make it count folks, for life is way to short! I even try my best to enjoy a simple dandelion.....don't view it as a weed in your yard, but SEE it as a beautiful yellow flower! So, until later.........spend your time wisely!
